My biggest question is how does abortion fit into civilization? We call ourselves civilized what does that mean? I think we may finally evolve into those monkeys the government says is their ancestors.

Locomotive, not sure where you live, but Kruen is the only one who voted no across the board. Becker voted yes only on 2368. In Minot districts, Maragos is the only one who voted no and he voted yes on only division A of 2303. Hawken was not there to vote today.

Missy, absolutely, 'rights for me, but not for thee' is the motto of the libs. Girls flock to First District to get their birth control allotment every month. It is there for anyone who wants it.

Freedom of Information, right here on MDN.

Here's a link to what the house voted on today, including some SB's. Reps' names are included with the yeas and nays. Note: plenty of Republicans voted nay.

Here's a link to that new legislative tracking system. A person can start with SB 2368 and go anywhere else from there. It's cool...

And we don't know yet if the governor will sign the bill already before him. Stay tuned...

icart/bill garr. Try this on for size, make sure you don't get pregnant in the first place. it's not like birth control isn't in every store. You just have to pay for it. It is on the shelves. Problem solved. You can get an abortion easier than I can smoke a cig. in North Dakota. But no, your so lazy to drive to another state and to dang cheap to pay for your own birth control. You want your rights and you want other people to pay for those rights, your so entitled to. But you sure don't have a problem sticking you nose in other peoples rights, that you believe in.

I'm not disparaging Missy by my post to clarify. I agree with her take about taxpayer-funded abortion: no way.

"I's the law of the land. I can't make laws just for my 40 acres."/billgar So there is NO need for state legislatures, right? All states with legal MJ, will have their laws struck down? Colorado will have their gun laws struck down? California will have all their silly gasoline laws struck down? There are three parts to Roe V Wade; two of which give states the responsibility of protecting life. Roe V Wade was based on a lie to begin with. McCorvey was NOT raped. So, the entire law is based on a false hood. Guess that is okay. The ends justify the means including lying.

To be fair to Missy, she's not said things just like me. She's said to go ahead and abort, but without her having to pay for it. Isn't she a lot nicer?

"My WHOLE ARGUEMENT is about the GOVERNMENT regulating how I or any other woman decides what do to with HER OWN BODY!!!"

You're the one who's been all over the place on the issue that we keep bringing up: a baby in a woman's body should not be aborted for convenience of that woman.

One last comment...Did you see KXMC last night...Where Senator "Margie Sicko" in all of her "infinite wisdom", was talking about the petri dish, and dropping it on the floor (you know, that microscopic goo thing), how she said that she didn't "THINK" that any attorney would prosecute a doctor for dropping it on the floor...FYI, that means that YES THEY CAN PROSECUTE A DOCTOR FOR DROPPING GOO ON THE FLOOR!!!! She just proved how STUPID, she really is, by proving that the wording in the bill states that doctors will be prosecuted for dropping goo on the floor!!! If you two want to be sheep and follow her, you are more then welcome too. But know this, there is a protest rally happening on March 25th in Minot Broadway/Burdick, in Fargo 207 4th st, in Grand Forks demers/washington I hope to see you there...STAND UP FOR WOMEN IN ND!!!! And yes, guys, this involves you too...because if you won't STAND UP for your woman...guess how many babies your going to

Ok - So I've made a decision...Trying to have a "discussion" with you (yeah, you missy/loco) is like dating someone who is bi-polar... one minute your comparing Iraq dead people, to the next your talking Kate Middleton..ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!! Which is ok, but, you can't even find any REASONABLE arguement when I try to discuss ALL of your points...you just flip to something TOTALLY out of left field!!! So, I've decided that your wrong, I'm right...PERIOD, you may not see it that way, and that's OK too, but like I said before with the Thomas Paine quote!! My WHOLE ARGUEMENT is about the GOVERNMENT regulating how I or any other woman decides what do to with HER OWN BODY!!! Women's v*g*nas are more regulated then guns!!! How is the party of "smaller government" the one in our bedrooms?? hhmmmm???

SB 2368 is still being worked on. As of today, one change I saw was that an (elective) abortion can't be performed on a baby twenty or more weeks "postfertilization" (or halfway through the full term pregnancy of forty weeks). That would be about 4-1/2 months along, or as far along as Kate Middleton's pregnancy has progressed, for those who need another point of reference.

Missy's right on target. If the state's climate doesn't suit some people, there are 49 other states from which to choose: blue, red or purple.

As far as standing up for "rights," lefties needn't bother about me. I won't be using the "right" that they consider so important: a woman's right to choose death for her unborn child. I'm a regressive on that point.

Frankly, all of us started our lives as "goo" but our mothers allowed us the chance to grow until our delivery.

This simple process should not happen for humans starting as "goo" in modern-day North Dakota. So says icart. And the more that is said in these comments, the more reprehensible it gets.

No mercy, eh? For defenseless little ones? Yeah, we get it, all too well.

Oh goody, you feel you win. Win "what"? I just watched a video on one doctor that delivered breathing babies, he ordered his nurse to cut the spinal cord. He's on trial, and his Nurse is talking. Be Happy ----You Win. Just go ahead and Kill "American" babies and don't address the real problem, Bad Parents, Drugs, and Boose. But let us save the world. We can't even help ourselves. But as long as you win, yippee.

What's really sad - Is how your comparing the Iraq war killings to abortions.."babies" that aren't even here...ALIVE...BREATHING.."paying bills" (just for you loco!!) 4,486 soliders DEAD..32,221 wounded.. $806 BILLION cost - $60 BILLION in "reconstruction of Iraq" - $8 BILLION in waste (can't find it) and the "best" part...Estimates are going to be $6 TRILLION total, which includes health care for our veterans!!! So let's be "SO CONCERNED" about pieces of goo (again, that's for you loco!!) when we aren't even taking care of the ones HERE, who are fighting for you and I to be free to "discuss" what is apparent, even in this poll...57% voted NO, only 43% voted YES!!! Guess whose losing!! ;-)

icart, I have watched so many arguements over this. Go to the next State. Have as many abortions as you want to. What makes me sick, most of you whine and cry about the Irag war and killing people, and have not one problem killing American babies. Go Figure.

Thank you Loco - I appreciate you making my point for me...But apparently your "interpretation" of the bills is being viewed through rose-colored glasses.. It was Thomas Paine who said, "To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead"... But you know what, that's OK...I'll be glad to STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS, if you won't do it for yourself!!! Did you also see where the vote on the amendment to SB 2368, which restricts any INDIVIDUAL, organization, or entities performing, inducing, referring for, or counseling in favor of, abortions to contract with any public entity. (I wondering what are you gonna pick off of that??) We are talking about SEX EDUCATION...The state just voted to stop funding SEX EDUCATION.. Isn't that what how you stop abortions??? EDUCATING PEOPLE??? hhmmmm... Now, is that an "oxymoron" or just being a moron!!

SCR 4009 is a "Senate Concurrent Resolution" which says:

"Be It Resolved By The Senate Of North Dakota, The House Of Representatives Concurring In:

"That the following proposed new section to article 1 of the Constitution of North Dakota (CND) is agreed to and must be submitted to the qualified electors of North Dakota at the primary election to be held in 2014, in accordance with section 16 of article IV of the CND.

"Section 1. A new section to article I of the CND is created and enacted as follows:

"The inalienable right to life of every human being at any stage of development must be recognized and defended."

That means ND voters, not the legislature, will vote to decide on this particular amendment to the CND. And I looked up the sponsors of SCR 4009: Sitte was there, but Grande wasn't a co-sponsor for it.

I'd suggest pickin' & choosin' another source for info. Some of us do our own research, such as it is.

well..there you go again...pickin' and a choosin'... SCR 4009 - relating to the inalienable right to life of every human being at every stage of development...1. This gives a one-cell egg (piece of goo) the same legal protections as you. 2. Bans ALL abortions with NO EXCEPTIONS for rape, incest or the life of the mother. 3. Limits in-vitro fertiliation care, birth control access, living will/end of life care and organ donations. 4. interfers with doctor-patient private decisions making it difficult for doctors to treat ANY patients in ND. 5. Above all.. and most importantly, this is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and VERY expensive for ND taxpayers!! Do you realize that Senator Sitte and Grande have already amended these bills to include MILLIONS OF OUR DOLLARS to cover their AZZes, in case these are passed and the state is taking to court??!!

Or spending what money they have getting pregnant over and over again. Or Birth Control or Booze or Drugs. Oh Well on Welfare, just have to figure out another lie. To heck with paying your own bill and taking care of children, Fun Time. Oh there is the free stuff from the Government. Do birth controll, no need for an abortion. It's all right there in front of their face. They will not take responsibily for their own actions. And you are helping them do that.
