obertc: "As far as Hypothetically ... sorry, I unplugged my crystal ball. :-)"
LOL! You got an electric one?
Well, Veritas, you're in fine verbal form today. I just read your post about getting somebody a "receipe for corvus pie."
I didn't know what that was, so googled, and lo and behold, it is the fancier way to tell somehow to "eat crow."
What a person can learn these days....
Veritas, I see no real one party pardons more than the other. I think it's up to the moral character of the sitting President and his beliefs more than party affiliation. The only trend (if you even want to call it that) is starting with President Clinton ... he and President Bush's pardons were well tilted to clemency at the end of their second term. But, that's only two presidents. Plus, these are just numbers. The content of the "crime" the person committed should be considered, but I don't have the time, nor desire to reseach each clemency action. As far as Hypothetically ... sorry, I unplugged my crystal ball. :-) Have a great day.

obertc...Thank you for that informational post. I saw no political pattern and it's way to consuming to look at the individual pardons so I too posted just numbers.
Are you aware of any hypothetical stats that exist on current and future Presidents...If so, would like to pass that along to Dusty along with a recipe for corvus pie.

Harry Truman (D) 935 (2,044) Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) 333 (1,157) JFK (D) 575 (575) Lyndon Johnson (D) 1,171 (1,187) Richard Nixon (R) 524 (926) Gerald Ford (R) 409 (409) Jimmy Carter (D) 566 (566) Ronald Reagan (R) 223 (406) George H.W. Bush, (R) 39 (77) William Clinton (D) 56 (459) George W. Bush (R) 19 (200) Barack Obama Wikipedia says 16, but the justice website only says 9, but thats only through Mar 2012.
It appears the "older" D's and R's were quite lenient.

Hi Veritas, lets take your Mar 11 8:28pm a little further. These stats come from www dot justice dot gov website. These numbers include all clemency action (pardon, commutions, and remission of fines) by the president in their first four years of office, that way we compare apples to apples or oranges to oranges depending on your taste buds. I also include the entire term following the first four years.

"U say I am Locomotive? I thought u called me Hope4change. I find that beyond stupidity and I am sure those two people feel a serious DIS from U?"
Dusty, billgrr hasn't called you locomotive...yet. If he does, I'm sure he'd mean it as a DIS.
As for me, I'd be pleased to be called DustOff3, based on your reputation alone. ;-)

billgrr, I have a possible explanation for you concerning Dusty's "technical glitch..."
He was c/p his own account, and also happened to c/p clear down to the article that included my comment.
As for a conclusion, I prefer to think of this not so much as a glitch, but as setting bait for those interested in calling others fraud.
Don't be an easy mark, billgrr. I think much more of you than that. I hope Boulder was nice. Have an excellent Tuesday.

Thanks Dusty...Dissapointed you didn't provide a 1-800 help line number like (Help Mitch get Re-Elected)....You're donations will go towards building a wall around reason and we need your help to make sure our message gets completed.
Representing 40 percent of the public is a hard job and with your donation we'll be able to make it look like we're working for 42%..A little means alot. Thank you in advance and remember..."Our new goal is making sure Obama is not a third term President."

"Now these idiots on here don't know how do do compound interest and they have no clue what 40 years in which I paid the max almost every year would come up to."
Some of us idiots know that you could have made 5000.00 and still paid in the max or made 500,000,000 and paid in the max...
Take a few words like max/idiot and this best describes your lifes work.
"Boys when you see your taxman ask him "
"SS is not a Government handout boys.."
Careful lorexxx...Don't alienate loco...Who else buys wet naps in bulk to clean up after you?
Jeepers Dusty...You're getting sweat on my keyboard.....Not cool!
Wow...The number 4 is rockin...Between 9:22 & 8:28..-4+4...
Your either 4 us or against us.
Dusty...Could you 4 tell that history?
Doesn't really matter what happened b4 as much as after right!
4tunately I can see what 4play will do to a person.
Dusty...I gave you several Presidents with their pardons History. You gave me one President with YOUR view of the future....Ahaum..Your sarcastic view of the future sorry.
One thing I like about BG is I cannot remember him ever telling an outright lie unless it was manipulating a characters narcissistic personality which by the way he's regarded as a good fisherman and surely knows how to set the bate.

EB...You made the best post yet..I believe what you said at 1:49 has enormous merit but also comes at the cost of privacy we value equally.
How do you propose those with behavorial patterns "unbecoming" get sorted out?
Apathy takes the hand of empathy only to release it when privacy comes on the dance floor.
Dusty..You're not prophetic you're...
Democratic President Barack Obama has pardoned 16 people up to this point
Republican President George W. Bush pardoned, commuted or rescinded the convictions of 200 people during his term
Democratic President William J. Clinton pardoned, commuted or rescinded the convictions of 459 people during his term
Republican President Ronald Reagan pardoned, commuted or rescinded the convictions of 406 people during his term
predictable....Your hate..your malice and your total disregard for facts shows in every post you make.Time to throw away you crystal ball...It doesn't and never has worked.

NO! The ones purchasing the guns are the law abiding citizens. I can't imagine why we would want more background checks and control of US citizens, while illegals can get licenses and vote without any checks at all. You can bet that THEY get guns without background checks. Let's address some real issues..not how to control American citizens in one more manner.

When I bought my gun, the store did a background check before I could take it with me. They got the okay. Not a big deal. It should be done. It was another finger printing and another background check to get a license, more of a pain, but still not a big deal.

The President of the United States for the past four years has been Pres. Barack Obama.
With all the talk about former Pres. Bush, it's like Pres. Obama hasn't even taken office yet.
That's not respectful, is it?
I wonder what percentage of gun crimes are perpetrated by those who were considered bullies in their youth and what percentage is perpetrated by the overly withdrawn types when they were in their youth. Maybe the signs are in front of us and we just need to learn to watch the signs.

To Animal: "It is the wrong people that we need to keep from the guns, not the guns from the people!" Who decides who the "wrong people" are? Look at the history of civilization and you will see many examples of the "wrong people" denied arms and then subsequently annihilated.
