Veritas, I see no real one party pardons more than the other. I think it's up to the moral character of the sitting President and his beliefs more than party affiliation. The only trend (if you even want to call it that) is starting with President Clinton ... he and President Bush's pardons were well tilted to clemency at the end of their second term. But, that's only two presidents. Plus, these are just numbers. The content of the "crime" the person committed should be considered, but I don't have the time, nor desire to reseach each clemency action.
