Believe me the flu shots work! When I was employed I had the flu shots offered at work and I had them and I never had the flu! Now that I am retired I never got the flu shot and I wish I had! Please for you own sake get a flu shot!

exactly, and for 20 seconds with water and soap. None of the bottled hand sanitizer! ;-)

"Stay out of bars, hospitals, schools, airplanes, trains, restaurants, and wash your hands."

Excellent advice, especially the hand-washing, done frequently (almost OCD style).

the vaccine is no longer what they call a live vaccine. But your recommendations, esp frequent hand washing, are excellent.

If everybody is getting flu shots, why has the flu hit pandemic proportions? If it really worked, the flu wouldn't develop into a yearly health problem.

I had a flu shot in January of 1977, in the fall of that year, I got the flu like I had never had before. I have never have had another flu shot. Stay out of bars, hospitals, schools, airplanes, trains, restaurants, and wash your hands.

I had never received one until two years ago, got a new job and we get them free of charge, courtesy of the company, they want to ensure we keep productivity up with as little down time as possible. I have to say, this is a great policy as very few co-workers are ever out with the flu, compared to previous jobs I've held.
