A group of researchers suggested this. I didn't see anywhere the government was involved. I think the government has more important things to do, but I do believe that obesity costs tax payers and employers millions of dollars a year.
73Hockey, I'm laughing at this because I remember when there wasn't a bunch of sugar in everything. It wasn't in cereal. If you wanted that, you had to put sugar on it before you ate it.
"but that's not my decision to make for you." Exactly what I am getting at. Could I store sugar like a squirrel storing nuts? Sure I could but the Government just needs to keep their nose out of my life.
73Hockey, you don't know me in the slightest. I guess that makes the subject of me just like every other subject you choose to opine upon.
It's not like anybody's going to be pulling sugar from store shelves any time soon. You probably *could* do with less of it, but that's not my decision to make for you. If you are really that upset about it, I'll tell you how to get around it if this idea is ever implemented.
Go to the grocery store and buy a bag of sugar. You can get it pretty cheaply in bags ranging from about 2 1/2 lbs up to 25 or 50 lbs. Put some of it in a bowl with a cover. Now any time you feel as if you're being cheated of sugar in the products you buy, get out that bowl and dump sugar on it like there's no tomorrow. That'll teach them to try to ration your sugar.
Really sheila, non-issue? Just another example of how Government is trying to rule MY life. This is where it all starts, baby steps but then you like be taken care of don't you?
