A 21-year-old Minot woman was arrested for burglary Sunday morning.
According to a Minot Police Department report, officers responded to a call at 9:38 a.m. of a burglary in progress in southeast Minot.
The reporting party said he observed a female in a red pickup stealing tools out of his storage unit. When the reporting party confronted her, he said the woman rammed his pickup while fleeing from the area.
He followed her and gave dispatch the direction she was traveling, but he lost sight of the vehicle in the Jefferson Head Start area.
Officers located the pickup in the driveway of a residence but no one was in it. They located a female, identified as Karissa Arizola, hiding behind a garage close to the unoccupied vehicle.
After an investigation, police discovered the vehicle Arizola was driving had been reported stolen earlier in the weekend. She had other stolen property in her possession.
Arizona was arrested for several violations including burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle, all Class C felonies, criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor, and unlawful use of a license plate, a Class B misdemeanor. She was taken to the Ward County Jail.
