Workers began pouring concrete Tuesday on the first of two parking ramps being constructed in downtown Minot.
More than 150 cubic yards of concrete went into the Renaissance parking structure at First Street and Second Avenue Southwest. When completed, the parking structure will have 225 stalls and will form the foundation for an apartment community.
A concrete pour on the Central parking structure is expected to occur in a few weeks.

The parking structures are part of a public-private partnership between the City of Minot and Cypress Development, which is leading the "Imagine Minot" redevelopment effort over the next seven to 10 years in downtown Minot. With more than $140 million planned for investment in a 36-block area, the project encompasses multiple mixed-use buildings featuring retail, office and residential.
