Jeff Marcille, 51, Minot, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at his home.

Jeff was born Feb. 10, 1963, to Frederick and Nancy (Rastello) Marcille. In March 1986 at the age of 23, Jeff joined the military, serving in the United States Air Force, where he became a jet engine mechanic. In 1989, he married Nancy Levadney, which brought forth two beautiful daighters, Kayla, 24 and Kelsey, 22. After 20 years of military service, Jeffery retired from the Air Force and returned to Minot with his family. In 2008, he landed a job at Minot Air Force Base as a helicopter mechanic working for Doss Aviation and later L-3 Com Vertex. Jeff was a very skilled aircraft mechanic, constantly striving for perfection while continuing to mentor all who worked with him.

Jeff truly treasured his family. He especially loved his wife and their two daughters. He was a devoted husband and doting father. Jeff's other loves included hunting, fishing and golfing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his two dogs, Sassy and Corky. He was a true Chicago sports fan closely following the Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks.

Jeff will be sadly missed by all but never forgotten!

Survivors include: Wife, Nancy; daughters, Kayla, of Ramstein AFB, Germany, and Kelsey, of Minot; sister, Celeste (Pat) Engstrom, of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Jon (Cindy) Marcille, of Peoria, Ill.; father, Fredrick (Elizabeth) Macrille, of Peoria; niece, Angelina Lennington, of Fargo; nephew, Matthew Lennington, of Fargo; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barb and Jim Lennington, Bismarck; mother-in-law, Margaret Levadney; and also his best friend whom he considered a brother, Paul Mitchell. He also had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Marcille; paternal grandparents, Byron and Hester Marcille, maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Edith Rastello, and father-in-law, Roy Levadney.

Friends may sign a register Sunday, Aug. 3, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Minot.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, at 5 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Flowers are welcome but in lieu donations may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or Farm Rescue.
