Dianne Hudson

Dianne O. Hudson, 73, Minot, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at a Minot hospital.

Dianne was born April 26, 1941, at Trinity Hospital in Minot the daughter of Oscar and Dorothy (Benson) Braaflat. She was raised four miles west of Plaza and went to school in Plaza.

Dianne was united in marriage to Larry Hudson in 1958. The couple lived in Riverdale for six years where Dianne worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. They moved to Minot where they raised their three boys: Kevin, Kelly and Kasey. Diane worked for Trinity for 27 years in the business office and then at ING where she later retired.

Dianne loved spending time with family, friends and her children's friends. Many weekends were spent camping at the lake and at the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park where she enjoyed boating, fishing and hiking. Dianne absolutely loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Her front and back yard are beautiful flower gardens. She also loved animals and rescued many from the pet shelter. Dianne cherished her grandchildren with all her heart and was proud of all their accomplishments. Dianne truly loved life and will be dearly missed, especially the sound of her laughter.

She is survived by: her husband of 55 years, Larry; sons, Kevin Hudson, Vernonia, Ore., Kelly (Jessica) Hudson, Foxholm, Kasey (Rochelle) Hudson, Minot; grandchildren, Kaden, Alexis and Guy Hudson; stepgrandchildren, Lecia and Austin Hager; and sister, Yvonne (Robert) Lovdahl, Minot.

Dianne was preceded in by: her parents, Oscar and Dorothy; and her brothers, Duanne and Lavern Braaflat.

Memorial Service: Friday, July 25, at 1 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Friends may sign a guest book today, Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
