SHERWOOD Harry "Bud" Fuller, 93, Minot, formerly of Sherwood, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Trinity Hospital, in Minot.
Bud was born March 25, 1921, on the family farm near Sherwood, to Harry E. and Hulda (Johnson) Fuller. He graduated from Sherwood High School in 1938.
He married LaVern Nehring on Nov. 15, 1942, in Plentywood, Mont. Farming in Prosperity Township, Renville County, was Bud's life. He also worked at South Umpqua Dairy in Myrtle Creek, Ore., for 11 years during the winter months where LaVern taught school. Each spring they returned to North Dakota to spend the summer months farming. They returned to Sherwood full time in 1968. They lived on the family farm until October 2006, when they moved to Somerset Court in Minot.
After retirement, Bud was nicknamed "Highway 83 Harry" by his brother-in-law because he and LaVern spent a lot of time traveling to visit their children and grandkids. It was a topic that brought a lot of humor to the family. LaVern died June 8, 2007.
