Donald Price, 76, New Town, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at Manorcare Nursing Home in Minot.

Donald Rae Price was born October 2, 1937 to James and Leta (Turner) Price in Liberty Township of Mountrail County, near Van Hook. He was raised in the Van Hook area and attended Van Hook School. In his teen years, Donald drove oil truck and then went to work for McCutchens Motors and later Lee Implement, both of New Town, learning mechanics as a trade.

On November 15, 1957, Donald was united in marriage to Shirley Lindley in New Town. They made New Town their home and raised their family. In the mid 1960s, he started work as a mechanic at Rensch Chevrolet of New Town and retired after 42 years. Shirley passed away September 26, 1991.

Donald was a simple man, content with life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and tinkering in his garage. During camping season, he could usually be found at the New Town Marina in Shelter #7 where he loved to visit with people. He was very giving and caring and cherished spending time with his family and many friends.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Debra Clemens (Brian) of Jamestown and Sandra Rink (Leslie) of Keene; son, Brad Price (Skeeter) of New Town; brother, James Robert Price (Rose Marie) of Lignite; sisters, Inez Lee (Clayton) of Parshall and Helen Allen (Donald) of Watford City; grandchildren, Justin Clemens (Sara) and Megan Aldinger (Casey); Amber Burr; Lori Finley (TJ), Bridgette Clark (Tom) and Nichole Price (Joey); thirteen great-grandchildren; and companion, Ella Mae Baker of New Town. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and grandson, Terry Lee Burr, Jr.

Funeral: Monday, June 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, New Town.

Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday, June 22, at 6 p.m. in the church.

Visitation: Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the church.

Interment: New Town Cemetery, New Town
