Smooth pouring

June 19, 2014

A worker checks on a fence pole while others pour concrete that will form the base for tennis courts at Hammond Park. The section shown here was to receive an estimated 200 cubic yards of concrete, one of four large pours of concrete at the park. The concrete will be overlayed with fortified Plexipave, a rubbery substance that makes an excellent surface for playing tennis. When finished, Hammond Park will have 10 new tennis courts, new basketball courts, lighting, spectator seating and a headquarters building.
