John C. Borgman, Jr., 73, Minot, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in a Minot hospital.
John was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Minot to John C. and Anita (Hagen) Borgman. He was raised in Minot.
John entered the Navy on Jan. 15, 1959, serving his country as a maintenance engineer until his honorable discharge on Jan. 27, 1962.
He was married in 1969 to Linda Schaller in Minneapolis. This union was blessed with three children, Barbara, Susan and Bryan. John was a plumber by trade, working for several companies in the Minneapolis area over the years until he returned to Minot in 1997.
He was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot, and the Local 15 Plumbers Union. He enjoyed NASCAR and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who shared in his life.
John's loving family includes, his children, Barb (Dan) Horning, Sue (Ted) Berg and Bryan Borgman, all of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Mary and Russell Berg and Tim, Taylor and Caleb Borgman; mother, Anita Borgman, Minot; sister, Pat (Glenn) Filipi, Fargo; and two nieces and two nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, John C. Borgman Sr. and brother, Richard Borgman.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.
Interment with military honors: Veteran's Section of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Thomas Family Funeral Home, and Thursday, one hour prior to the start of the service, at the church.
