Veterans helping Trinity Homes

June 1, 2014

Bob and Sue Ogurek, of Burlington, volunteers for the William G. Carroll Post of the Minot American Legion, clean out planters in front of Trinity Homes in Minot on Saturday afternoon. Sue is a Legion member and both are veterans. Donald Lannoye, a resident of Trinity Homes, watches in the background. Originally from Churchs Ferry, Lannoye said he spends as much time as he can outside when the weather is decent. Other Legion members Millo Wallace, Ron Tolzin and Richard Reuer also were doing yardwork. Lois Zahn, volunteer coordinator with Trinity Homes, said the Legion volunteers were taking care of some spring cleanup and helping make the area look nice for residents when they sit outside. “We have a lot of veterans here,” she added.
