Keri Lee (Hoiland) Thorson, 37, of Williston, N.D., formerly of the Minot area, passed away east of Williston on May 1, 2014, as the result of a traffic accident.
Her funeral will be celebrated Tuesday morning, May 6, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston. Rev. Kay Reeb and Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate.
Keri Lee Hoiland was born on March 7, 1977, in Minot, N.D., to Dorian and Sheila (Laughridge) Hoiland. She was raised in the Minot area, graduating from Des Lacs High School.
On Oct. 16, 1998, she was united in marriage to Kit Thorson in Minot. They moved to Bismarck, where she finished her schooling as a hair designer. The family then moved to Williston and established their home. The last two years Keri was a stay-at-home mom, raising their two children.
She worked as the manager at West Side Fuels for four years.
Keri loved fishing, and was an avid animal lover, especially birds, dogs and her fish. She also enjoyed her small vegetable garden, camping and the outdoors.
Keri is survived by: her husband, Kit Thorson, of Williston; two children at home, Peyton and Deion Thorson; one sister, Tammy (Robert) Krodel, of Williston; one brother, Paul Hoiland, of Burlington; her mother, Sheila Hoiland, of Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Dorian Hoiland; and grandparents, Mary and Herbert Schultz.
