Bonnie was born Nov. 3, 1942, on the family farm near Stanley. She was the youngest daughter of Mabel (Stave) and Dewey Jarmin. Bonnie was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Stanley.

As a child Bonnie enjoyed being outdoors and developed a love for gardening, farming and fishing. Her interests would continue to grow over the years to become a lifelong passion. As a child Bonnie could often be found tagging along after her father and was given the nickname "Little Dewey."

Bonnie was married to Sonny Honrud on Dec. 10, 1965. They built their life together in the Stanley area and had three children: Robin (Jerald) Lang, Bismarck, Petey, (Joni) Honrud, Powers Lake, and Joey Honrud, of Stanley.

On Nov. 25, 1989, she married David Olson. They built their life together in the Stanley and Palermo area. Bonnie continued her love for gardening and when she and David moved to the farm, they would have bountiful gardens which they loved to share with family and friends. Bonnie enjoyed canning, fishing and traveling. Her greatest love was spending time and building memories with her family and friends. Through the years she and Dave became inseparable. You would rarely, if ever, see one without the other. Bonnie worked at the hospital in Stanley for a time and developed many friendships that lasted her whole life.
