Workers prepare to tow away a truck next to a fallen railroad safety crossbar on Third Street Southeast near First Avenue on Wednesday morning after the crossbar was knocked down in an accident. Minot police reported that a Canadian-Pacific service truck driven by Steven Hanenberg, 47, Burlington, was involved in an accident with a pickup truck driven by Sean Jorgensen, 27, Minot, as it crossed the tracks. A return of snowy conditions may have been behind the accident, as Joregensen’s truck had slid in front of the CP vehicle during an attempt to stop. A passenger in the CP vehicle complained of back pain but declined medical attention. Police are continuing to investigate.
