Sheri Denise Sloboden, 41, Surrey, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, after a long battle with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease in a Minot nursing home.

Sheri was born Dec. 20, 1972, at Goshen, Ind., the daughter of Gary and June (Blough) Huntzinger. She moved with her family at a young age to Minot, where she was raised and educated. Sheri graduated from Minot High School in 1992.

She was united in marriage to Tim Sloboden on Sept. 23, 1995, at First Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home on the Huntzinger family farm in Surrey. Throughout the years, Sheri was employed at Bonanza Restaurant, The Mini Mart stores (now Loaf 'N Jug), Edgewood Vista and most recently with the City of Minot as a meter reader.

Sheri was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. She enjoyed camping, baking and spending time with her kids and going to their activities.

Her loving family includes: husband, Tim Sloboden, Surrey, children, Brooke and Jacob Sloboden, both of Surrey; mother, June Huntzinger, Minot; niece and nephew, Jayme and Brian Huntzinger, Minot; mother-in-law, Judy Sloboden, Benedict; brother-in-law, Bill Sloboden, Seattle; sister-in-law, Mona (Jeff) Veach, and their daughters Paige, Stacey and Lindsey, all of Wisconsin.

Sheri was preceded in death by: her father, Gary; father in-law, Raymond; sister, Darian; and grandparents, Ellen and Dale Huntzinger and Robert and Dorothy Blough.

Funeral service: Friday, April 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. in First Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Greatstone Baptist Cemetery, rural Benedict.

Visitation: At the request of family, there will not be any reviewal, however friends may sign a memorial register on Thursday, April 17, from 2 to 7 p.m., in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
