I would like to answer the letter Sandra Murphy had about the accident her husband and the Minot police woman had.
I was not there when it happened but the police woman had her red lights flashing and her siren on. The law says that if an emergency vehicle has the lights and sirens on you should slow down and, if you can, give the right-a-way to that vehicle like a police car, ambulance or fire truck. If he didn't hear that siren he should get a hearing aid or drive no more. If he would follow the law there would be no accident. I still wonder why the Minot police chief didn't go to bat for that officer and fight for a citation.
Red light or green, I still maintain that the police woman was right. Your husband should have gotten that ticket.
