Gaylen LeRoy Olson, 56, Minot, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in a Minot nursing home.
Gaylen was born Aug. 7, 1957, in Minot, the son of LeRoy and Adeline (Lade) Olson. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1976. Gaylen worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Minot for over 25 years as a warehouse attendant. After the Coca-Cola plant closed, Gaylen worked for Speedy Delivery in Minot until ill health forced him to retire.
Gaylen was a member of the 2nd Story Social Club in Minot. He loved Diet Mt. Dew and meeting his friends at Schatz Truck Stop.
Survivors: parents, LeRoy (Adeline) Olson, Minot; sister, Charlotte Hutton and her partner, Stanley Tranby, Minot; brothers, Gordon (Kim) Olson, Minot, and Gerald Olson, Grafton; aunts uncles and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Gaylen was preceded in death by his grandparents; nephew, Cory Olson; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service: Friday, March 21, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Nursing Home Chapel, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday, March 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
