The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing Feb. 27 in Minot on Enbridge Pipelines LLC's siting applications for a proposed crude oil pipeline.
The $1.3 billion, 24-inch Sandpiper line would extend over 299 miles in Williams, Mountrail, Ward, McHenry, Pierce, Towner, Ramsey, Nelson and Grand Forks counties. The proposed project also calls for the expansion of existing pump stations at Beaver Lodge in Williams County, Stanley and Berthold and the construction of a new pump station near Lakota.
The hearing begins at 8:30 a.m. in Minot City Hall, council chambers.
The hearing schedule provides for the company to present its case and answer questions from the commissioners, after which the commission will take public comments. People with concerns, questions or support for the project should present at the hearing. Comments and information received after the hearing will not be part of the official record and cannot be used as a basis for the commission's decision.
