Just as it did a week ago, the Bishop Ryan wrestling team claimed top honors in Region III in a landslide.
On Saturday at the region individual tournament, the Lions picked up the team hardware with 247.5 points, followed by Des Lacs-Burlington with 156 and Stanley-Powers Lake-Tioga-Ray with 143. Ryan won seven of 14 weight classes and qualified 12 wrestlers for the state meet.
The Lions were dominate in the upper weights, where they won four of the last five bouts, including three by fall. Freshman Jordan Will (182 pounds), junior Dakota Johnson (195) and senior Mason Kramer (285) each recorded pins, while junior Carson Schell picked up a 9-3 decision over Northern Lights' Tanner Langan.

Junior Wyatt Ledoux grabbed the Lions' first win with a 5-1 decision over Elijah Hackman of Velva at 113. Sophomore Aaron Sandy followed by holding off DL-B's Kole Johnson 4-1 at 120. At 145, senior Keaton Merck wasted little time, pinning Rugby's Reid Mundahl in 47 seconds.
Max Lipp (fourth at 106), Konner Beeter (second at 126), Cole Dauphinais (third at 132) and Tyler Allers (second at 220) also qualified for the state individual tournament.
The state dual and individual tournaments take place Thursday through next Saturday at the Bismarck Civic Center.
