Kenneth G. Christianson passed away Jan. 30, 2014, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev., after a short battle with cancer.
Kenny was born April 15, 1944, a son of Chris and Marie (Mickelson) Christianson, of Glenburn, N.D. He was raised on the farm near Glenburn and graduated from Glenburn School. Kenny served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army June 17,1965 to June 16,1971. Kenny worked for Owens Corning in Santa Clara, Calif., and was later employed by Gates Manufacturing in Colorado for a number of years. Kenny moved back to North Dakota, lived in Powers Lake and then the White Earth area, where he made his home. There he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his brother Wayne. He spent the last few winters in Laughlin, Nev., where his sister-in-law, Dawn, currently resides and sister MaryAnn previously resided. Kenny was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Surviving family includes: brother, Leslie (Sandi) Christianson, Glenburn, N.D.; sister, MaryAnn Richardson, San Diego, Calif.; sister-in-law, Wylora Dawn Christianson, Laughlin, Nev.; brother-in-law, Vern Vaagen, Colville, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews
Kenny was preceded in death by: sisters, Christine Christianson, Janis Voeller, Lorna Brewer, and Carol Vaagen; and brothers, Norris, Adrian, Gary, Wayne, and Phillip.
There will be a graveside memorial service at Our Saviour Lutheran Cemetery, rural Glenburn, in the spring.
