WILLISTON (AP) - Bond has been set at $2 million for a man accused in a Williston-area homicide.
Forty-eight-year-old Tovias Carrillo is accused in the death of 51-year-old Juan Palacios, whose body was found Tuesday beneath a mattress along U.S. Highway 1804 about 13 miles east of Williston.
Carrillo is charged with murder and also two counts of terrorizing, for allegedly threatening people on Dec. 9 and Jan 24. Court documents don't list an attorney for him, nor do they give an age or hometown.
The Williston Herald reports that no new details of the case emerged during Thursday's bond hearing.
Carrillo is due back in court on Feb. 21 for a preliminary hearing on the charges, which could put him in prison for life if he's convicted.
