Minot State University President David Fuller and Dakota College at Bottineau campus dean Ken Grosz are recommending that the two campuses remain affiliated.
Grosz said Thursday that a series of community meetings were held to discuss the possibility of the Bottineau campus ending its affiliation with Minot State, but there is no enthusiasm from students, faculty or community members for such a change.
"We like the collaboration we have with Minot State," said Grosz. "It's kind of a question of 'if it ain't broke, why fix it?' I look for the collaboration and our affiliation with Minot State to continue."
Grosz said faculty and students like shared programs and Dakota College at Bottineau students like the ease of transferring credits from Dakota College at Bottineau to Minot State when they enroll there.
Grosz and Fuller made their report and recommendation to the state board of higher education when it met Thursday at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake.
