Officers of the Minot Police Department were called to 27th Avenue Northwest at the early hours of Monday morning, to investigate reports of a possibly intoxicated driver traveling on the wrong side of the road.
Arriving officers observed a vehicle matching the description given stopped in a nearby parking lot. After approaching the vehicle and investigating, officers decided to place the driver, Megan Marie Davis, 25, of Minot, under arrest for actual physical control and refusal to submit to a chemical test. A passenger in the vehicle with her was not charged.
While escorting her to a patrol car, officers allege Davis then began to struggle, kicking them in the chest, legs and arms while making verbal threats. She was taken to Ward County Jail and booked on the additional charges of resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a peace officer. Neither the officers nor suspect were injured during the arrest.
