Maryati Ruppelius, 58, Minot, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Trinity Health hospital.
Maryati was born on Sept. 14, 1955, in Ternate, Indonesia, and was raised there.
Maryati was united in marriage to William Duane Ruppelius in 1982. They made their home in Rolla where she was employed at Presentation Medical Center.
Maryati became a resident of Trinity Homes on March 30, 2012. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minot and loved spending time and sharing laughs with her friends.
Maryati loved to cook and would often teach others her favorite recipes. The teaching menu often included egg rolls, a favorite of the family. She refined her culinary skills by watching the cooking networks and favorite television shows. Her upbeat personality and generous heart will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Her loving family includes: a daughter, Marlene (Everett Jr.) Parker, Las Vegas, Nev., and a grandson, Ryan Parker, also of Las Vegas.
Maryati was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband, William Duane Ruppelius.
Memorial service: On Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Minot.
There will be no reviewal, however, family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, in the spring of 2014.
