Virginia Lee, 67, Fargo, formerly of Burlington, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, in a Fargo hospital, surrounded by her family.

Virginia was born Jan. 9, 1947, at Grand Forks, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Dalbey) Triskle. She was raised and educated at Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1965. She attended nursing school in Crookston, Minn., and graduated with a licensed practical nurse degree in 1967.

Virginia was once married to Jerome Lee. They were married on Feb. 15, 1969, and had two children, Grant and Kristin. They moved to Minot, where she was employed for several years as a nurse. She had also been employed as a server at the Minot Elks Lodge and Speedway Restaurant near Burlington. She lived for a time in Bowman and Mandan before returning to Burlington, where she lived until 2011, when the flood occurred. She moved to Fargo in July 2011.

Virginia was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, where she was active with the church circle group. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, especially at Francie Miller's large garden. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many functions.

Her loving family includes: children, Kristin (Pete) Kowalczyk, Minot, Grant (Cindy) Lee, Fargo; mother, Louise Triskle, Velva; grandchildren, Samantha Morgan, Nicholas and Ryan Lee, Sasha and Joseph Kowalczyk; sister, Beverly (Vern) Whitten, Fargo; and nephew, Scott (Karen) Whitten, Colorado.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father.

Celebration of life service: Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., in Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington.

Interment: Arrangements are pending.

Visitation: Friday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
