The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a 51-year-old Las Vegas man who was killed after a one-vehicle rollover three miles west of Berthold on Friday.
Douglas Moore was a passenger in a car driven by Eric Flores, 23, of Minot. Flores was headed on U.S. Highway 2 en route from Minot to Stanley. Flores lost control of the vehicle on the frost-covered roadway and the vehicle entered the center median and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels in the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 2. Moore, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and was killed. Flores, who was wearing his seatbelt, was injured in the crash and was taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment.
The accident happened at 8 a.m. Friday. The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
