Second Avenue and Fourth Street Southwest will be closed for a major water main break beginning this morning.
A major water main break near the intersection of Second Avenue and Fourth Street Southwest is resulting in area road closures. During this time, heavy equipment and crews will be in the area, and motorists are advised to plan for detours and extra time. Due to the depth of the water main, it could be two to three days until the issue is resolved.
Due to the closure of the Sixth Street Underpass, residents are asked to use First Avenue Southwest (next to I. Keating Furniture) to access City Hall, the Minot Police Department and the Public Library. Also of note, there are no restrooms available in the Public Library until the water main is fixed.
