Minot Police Department released a recap of Monday's crashes around Minot, the result of icy conditions and snow compacted onto road surfaces. Officers responded to a total of 20 crashes and a reported hit and run, all of which occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Five people were injured in a two-car crash at the intersection of 30th Avenue Northwest and the U.S. Highway 83 Bypass.
Two further people were sent to hospital as a result of a five-car collision at the intersection of Broadway and 20th Avenue Southwest. That crash is still under investigation.
Due to a computer issue, information on the day's activity was not able to be released until Wednesday.
