Ruby Ann Miller, 90, Bismarck, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at St. Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck.
Ruby was born July 29, 1923, in rural Parshall, the daughter of Ernest W. and Florence (DeTiene) Peterson. She was raised in Parshall and graduated from Parshall High School. On Dec. 30, 1941, she married Donald M. Miller, who was also from Parshall. They lived and farmed in the Parshall area. Ruby was an excellent cook. She also loved to crochet, tat and knit. Donald died in 1985, and Ruby continued to live in Parshall for several more years. She moved to Bismarck in later years.
Ruby was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Bismarck.
Ruby is survived by: her sons, Douglas (Mary) Miller, Fargo, and James (Kay) Miller, Bismarck; her daughter, Ann (James) Halden, Parshall; her grandchildren, Noah, Tahirih, Terra, Krisi, Eric, Lisa and Evan; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; and her sisters, Eunice, Florence, and twin sister, Ruth.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Donna Dohrmann officiating.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will be held at the Parshall Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no visitation.
