Edward Crumley, left, and John Hall, right, load a mattress onto a truck in front of Slumberland Furniture on Friday morning. This holiday season Slumberland Furniture is working to provide families in need with new beds through its annual Making Homes for the Holiday program. During the week of Dec. 16, Slumberland Furniture in Minot donated 17 mattress sets to children who didn’t have a mattress to sleep on. Community Action also helped. In addition, quilts from Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Bretheren Church Quilting Club were donated. The Making Homes for the Holidays program began in 1993.
