ANTLER Glenn Leonard Tennyson, 71, Antler, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at a Minot hospital.
He was born Jan. 20, 1942, in Antler, to Gabriel and Leona (Lytle) Tennyson. He was raised on the family farm near Antler, and in 1949, the family moved into Antler. He graduated from Antler High School in 1956. After high school, he went to work at Tennyson's Garage in Antler. He also drove trucks for Kenny Christianson and Wes and Wayne Johnson and helped area farmers. In 1968, he and his brother, Donald, took over the farming and the running of the garage.
Glenn was united in marriage to Janet Pautzke, the daughter of William and Margaret Pautzke, on Sept. 7, 1973, in Souris. To this union, two sons were born, Leonard and Derek. Glenn drove a school bus for many years for the Antler and Sherwood schools, was the Antler fire chief for 35 years and served as the Antler maintenance man for 30 years. Janet died June 12, 2009.
Family: sons, Leonard (Deborah) Tennyson and Derek Tennyson, all of Minot; grandsons, Jack, William, Sterling, Kasey and Jesse, all of Minot; sister, Doreen Bingham, Moosomin, Sask.; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Tennyson, Antler, and Debbie (Eric) Fiala, St. Francis, Kan.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Donald; and his in-laws.
Funeral: Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, Antler.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, rural Minot.
Family Service: Today, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m., at the church.
Visitation: Today, 4 to 7 p.m., at the church.
