Darlene Vetter, 62, Minot, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Darlene Beverly Cooke was born on Jan. 4, 1951, a daughter of Francis and Violet Cooke, in Harvey. She was raised and educated in the Harvey area.
Darlene was united in marriage to Joseph Vetter on Aug. 23, 1969, in Anamoose. They made their home in Minot, where Darlene was a homemaker.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery, canning pickles and beets, baking and working with computers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Darlene is survived by: husband Joe, Minot; daughter, Mandy (Chris) Weltikol, Minot; grandchildren, Brandon Weltikol and Skylark Weltikol; great-grandson, Aiden Weltikol; brother, Edward Cooke, of Harvey; sisters, Lorraine (Stanley) Pedersen, of Harvey, and Ione (Raymond) Hanson, Custer, S.D.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tina Marie Vetter.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Vigil prayer service: Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
