Sandra "Sandy" Joan Farhart, 69, from Williston, formerly of Ross, joined her heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, with her husband of 52 years at her bedside, in a Williston hospital.
Sandy was born Feb. 7, 1944, in Renton, Wash., to Gudrun and Charles Mork. The family relocated to White Earth when Sandra was a baby. Sandra was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at First Lutheran Church in White Earth. She attended school and graduated from White Earth High School. She was united in marriage to Daniel "Denny" Farhart on March 9, 1962, at Estevan, Sask. They made their home on the Rocking W Ranch five miles north of Ross until moving to Williston in the fall of 2009.
Sandy was the ultimate homemaker, cook and cowboy wife. She worked tirelessly to assure that anyone who came to their home received only the best hospitality.
Sandra is survived by: her husband, Denny; daughter, Tami Solberg, of Williston; son, Brad (Amy) of Stanley; granddaughter, Sheena Solberg (Miles) of Williston; grandsons, Braeden and Carson, of Stanley; sisters, Charlene (Ardell) Horub, of Bismarck, Sharon (Paul) Prochaska, of Libby, Mont.; and brother, Duane Mork, of White Earth. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Chuck; two infant brothers; and son-in-law, James "Jim" Solberg,of Williston.
Funeral Service: Friday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. in American Lutheran Church, Stanley.
Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Stanley.
Visitation: Today, Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Springan Funeral Home, Stanley.
