Bryan J. Foss, 48, Minot, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in a Bismarck hospital.
Bryan was born Oct. 18, 1965, a son of Eugene and Maxine (Dempsey) Foss in Wolf Point, Mont. He moved with his family to the Westhope/Landa area, where he attended Westhope School.
Following high school, Bryan worked for a sandblasting/painting company, on the seismograph rigs and for various moving companies, until becoming disabled.
He enjoyed shooting league pool, hunting, fishing and hanging out with his friends. Bryan was a loving son, brother and uncle who enjoyed teasing his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his willingness to put others' needs in front of his own, his straightforward attitude and his kindness.
He is survived by: mother, Maxine Foss and Jr. Ellingson, Minot; sister, Cindy (Rick) Gimbel, Landa; brother, Darren (Stacey) Foss, Landa; nieces, Ashley (Reed) Murphy, Kenmare, and Samantha Foss, Landa; nephew, Aidyn Foss, Landa; great-niece, Kennedi, and a great-nephew, Cash Murphy, both Kenmare; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bryan was preceded in death by: his father, Eugene; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mae Dempsey, and paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Myrtle Foss.
Funeral service: Friday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Thursday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
