The Diocese of Bismarck will host Thirst 2013 Oct. 25-27 in the Bismarck Civic Center.
Registration begins Friday at 3 p.m. with Mass at 5:30 p.m. Scott Hahn will be the keynote speaker at 7:30 p.m. followed by a concert by The Thirsting at 9 p.m.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan will speak Saturday at 9 a.m. His topic will be "Go teach all nations: Passing the treasure of faith to the next generation." Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Breakout sessions will be offered in the afternoon. Margarett Schlientz will be the keynote speaker at 7 p.m. Eucharistic adoration and a communal penance service are scheduled at 8 p.m.
Sunday Edward Sri will be the speaker at 9:30 a.m. His topic will be "Walking with Mary: A biblical journey from Nazareth to the cross." Breakout sessions will be held from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Msgr. James Shea will be speaking at 1:30 p.m. His topic will be "Water from the Rock: Living Thirst all our lives." The event will conclude after Mass which will be offered at 3 p.m.
A children's program, Cat.Chat, will be offered during all major sessions of the conference so entire families can participate in the event.
Adult break-out topics will include marriage, discerning God's will, parenthood, intimacy with God, prayer, forgiveness and much more.
Event coordinator Michelle Duppong said, "Thirst 2013 is about bringing people to meet God and experience the void that only this relationship can fill."
The event is free of charge and open to people of all faith denominations.
