GRAND FORKS (AP) - A North Dakota man suspected of breaking into a Grand Forks apartment and raping and robbing two women at gunpoint has been charged with multiple felonies.
In an affidavit filed in court, 20-year-old Antonio Raheem Matthews, of Grand Forks, was charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition as well as two counts of robbery and felonious restraint. He also is charged with one count of terrorizing.
Grand Forks Police Lt. Jim Remer tells the Grand Forks Herald that Matthews was already in custody on unrelated warrants when he was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the assault that occurred early Monday.
Matthews' bail was set at $500,000.
