Charlotte Sanden, 88, Minot, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Charlotte Ida Larson was born Oct. 29, 1924, the daughter of Gothart and Inga (Brandon) Larson, in Towner. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1942.

Charlotte was once married to Clifford O. Sanden. They made their home in Minot, where she raised her six children and worked at the Clarence Parker Hotel Restaurant, the Riverside Supper Club, and for many years at the Holiday Inn as the bar manager.

She was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church, in Minot, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, word searches, playing bingo, watching the Minnesota Twins and watching her favorite NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. Through her final years, Charlotte loved spending time watching her great-granddaughter Kaiya play with all her treasured dolls.

Surviving family includes: children, Sheila (Rick) Furtsch, Modena, N.Y., Nancy Suemnick, New Boston, Mich., Jeff Sanden, Mesa, Ariz., and Jerry (Barb) Sanden, Minot; grandchildren, Melissa Morris, Carrie Nelson, Ricky Furtsch, Lori Suemnick, Brent Sanden, Courtney Tollefson and Brian Sanden; great-grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Ashley and Kaiya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Sharon Newman; son, Timothy Sanden; sisters, Betty Bearman, Joyce Waltz and Elaine Mayher.

A private family funeral will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church.
