Dorothy Mae Richards Wilson, 88, of Evington, Va., and formerly of Minot, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Autumn Care of Altavista, Va. She was twice married, first to the late Nicholas J. Koch and secondly to the late Stanley L. Wilson.
She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Coleraine, Minn., and raised in Towner. She was a daughter of the late Russell Edgar Richards and Agda Abrahamson Richards. She was a nurse for over fifty years and spent many years working with Dr. John Sheehan in Minot. Upon moving to Virginia, she became a member of Clement Memorial Wesleyan Church in Altavista.
She is survived by: a daughter, Marcia Koch Revis, and her husband, Johnny, of Evington, Va.; two stepsons, Brian L. Wilson, and his wife, Loralie, of Williston, and Warren L. Wilson, and his wife, Kim, of Minot; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Shirley Hintz, of Minot.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be conducted: At 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Altavista Memorial Park in Altavista, Va., by the Rev. Matt Alford.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Marcia, at 5326 Wards Rd., Evington, Va.
