Two vehicles were involved in a major crash Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection where the new 55th Street Southeast overpass terminates at Fourth Avenue Northeast.
Officers on the scene reported there were no fatalities and that only two drivers, and no passengers, were involved. Ambulance services were no longer at the scene by the time The Minot Daily News arrived.
At the scene a company-branded white Ford F-550 was upside down with the majority of its weight positioned forward onto the passenger compartment. A dark green Jeep SUV was right side up a few yards south of the truck but the entire engine compartment was destroyed.
Traffic was being directed through the intersection by police on the scene at the time this brief was written so motorists should be wary and adjust their routes accordingly.
