The Minot State University soccer team signed midfielder Brianna Ramsey and forward Allyssa Perez to letters of intent, coach Jason Spain announced Wednesday.
Ramsey, a native of Peoria, Ariz., was a four-year letter winner for Mountain Ridge High School (Ariz.). The 5-foot-3 midfielder participated in both soccer and track & field and earned player of the year honors during her senior season.
Perez joins the Beavers from William S. Hart High School in Valencia, Calif., where she was a four-year letter winner. Perez also competed in cross country and track & field. The three-sport athlete helped her club team, the Santa Clara Valley Soccer Club, to a 2011 state title.
"Both Brianna and Allyssa are extremely athletic and attacking players," Spain said in a press release. "They will provide us with some depth and we will be able to attack in waves, which is our goal and what we were able to do last season."
The Beavers play three road exhibition games against Canadian teams beginning Aug. 19 before hosting the University of Mary on Sept. 5 at Herb Parker Stadium to open the regular season.
