Darwin Anderson, 36, Minot, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Washburn.Darwin was born on Dec. 22, 1976, in Devils Lake, the son of Lane and Mamie (Fredrickson) Anderson. He lived and was educated in Colorado and North Dakota. When he was younger he worked for Tom Boe at B & F Salvage, Bourgault Industries, and R and T Towing in Ruthville along with other jobs. He later moved to Bismarck, where he worked in the construction field, painting and carpentry.
His hobbies were building dream catchers, drawing, fishing, riding and working on motorcycles, watercraft, snowmobiles, and cars. He loved to tinker with anything with a motor. He loved being with his friends and family. He kept in touch with his Native American heritage through prayers and sweat lodges.
Darwin is survived by: his mother, Mamie (Randy) Williams, Minot, father, Lane Anderson, LaPorte, Colo.; sister, Brandi Knutson and her fiance, Sid Sandstrom, Gillette, Wyo.; stepbrothers, David (Connie), John and Kelly Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles including Darleen Long, Shirley Gunderson, Mary (Gerry) Foxwell, Rosalie Berry and Kathy Duchscher. Numerous cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Arnold Anderson, Grandma, Mary Fredrickson; and uncles, Darwin Frederickson and Thomas Fredrickson.
Memorial gathering: Will be on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, at 11 a.m.
Visitation: Saturday from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
