Daniel Amsden, 45, of 217 S. Main St., Des Lacs, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with terrorizing, a Class C Felony, after allegedly threatening his neighbor with a gun.
Ward County Sheriff's Department deputies cleared out "a few houses" in the area in case of a standoff, according to Sheriff Steve Kukowski.
While deputies were clearing the area Amsden decided to come out and speak with deputies. He was arrested at approximately 3:15 p.m. and the sheriff's department, not the neighbor, is pressing charges.
Two handguns were found on Amsden's property.
Amsden is being held in the Ward County Jail awaiting his initial appearance in District Court on Monday.
