Darlyne Mary Nichols, 84, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2013 at the Citadel Assisted Living Facility in Mesa.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 60 years, James Nichols; her parents, John and Harriet Kelly; her sister, Dalrus Radish; brother, Russel Van Hook; and son, Daryl Mace.
She was born April 21, 1929, in Minot and lived there for most of her life until she moved to Fountain of the Sun in Mesa in 1985 with James. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, talented artist and a bookkeeper by trade.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Nichols and Tom Mace; daughter, Kimberly Green; sisters, Delores Lambert and Cheryl Ahlen; brother, Hollis Van Hook; grandchildren, Nicole Gezzer, Miranda Nichols, Kelly Panosian, Chuck and Christopher Mace; great-grandchildren, Shane Panosian, Loralie and Chandler Gezzer. She leaves behind many friends.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Due to her wishes, the services held in Payson on July 6 will be for close family members only.
