Pamela K. Ennis died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Valley View Assisted Living in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 61.
She was born to Richard M. and Kathleen M. (Duhamel) Ennis, on June 14, 1951, in Minot. Pam attended primary school in Minot and graduated college from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg. She was employed by the Manitoba Justice Department as a guidance counselor at the Manitoba Youth Center, Winnipeg, for more than 20 years. Pam retired from the Justice Department in 2006 and relocated to Boise to be closer to family. Pam was employed by the Boise School System as a youth counselor prior to being diagnosed with glioblastoma. She made many lasting friendships in Canada and throughout the Treasure Valley.
During her younger years, Pam was an avid horsewoman, winning countless trophies and riding championships. Pam loved to scour the Great Plains of North Dakota and Manitoba for native artifacts, amassing a large collection.
Pam is survived by: her father, Richard M. Ennis; brother, Richard J. (Cathy) Ennis; niece, Michelle C. Ennis; nephew, Richard A. J. Ennis; and grandnephew, Gavin J. Ennis, all of Boise.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen.
A private funeral service was held on Saturday, June 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Boise. Inurnment will be in the Prayer Garden at Sacred Heart Church at a later date.
Memorials: Donations in her memory may be made to Treasure Valley Hospice, Boise.
