Robbie Lee Hall, Minot, was acquitted of two Class C felony charges April 11.
Hall was charged with a simple assault domestic violence and child neglect or abuse, both stemming from an incident on Feb. 1. He plead not guilty for both, and a jury trial resulted in his acquittal.
"We went forward with the charges that we thought were appropriate and after presenting our case the jury found the defendant not guilty and our office respects the jury's 'not guilty' verdict," said Sean Kasson, the prosecuting assistant State's Attorney with the Ward County State's Attorney's office.
"I knew in my heart I was innocent, that I was a victim," Hall said.
