BOWMAN (AP) - The National Weather Service says a tornado reportedly touched down near the southwestern North Dakota town of Bowman.
The Dickinson Press reports that the Monday afternoon funnel cloud was sighted by as many as five trained weather spotters. No damage has been reported.
Connie Gaebe, who lives 3 miles west of Bowman, says she spotted the tornado from town while her husband, Randy, saw it from their farm.
She says the twister was followed by rain and pea-sized hail, "but nothing destructive."
