The Minot State University men's hockey team has signed forwards Sean Delwo and Tanner Mitchell for the 2013-14 season, the program announced Sunday.
Delwo - a 5-foot-11, 180 pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan - played two years with the Pilot Butte Storm of the Prairie Junior Hockey League. Delwo compiled 135 points (58 goals, 77 assists) in 80 games played in the PJHL.
"Sean is a dynamic play-making forward who has a huge understanding of game situations," MSU coach Wade Regier said in a press release. "These tools will help him adjust to the college game very quickly."
Mitchell also comes over from the PJHL and was teammates with Delwo during the 2011-12 season. In two years with the Storm, the 6-foot, 200 pounder registered 95 points (40 g, 55 a) in 71 games.
"Tanner brings an enormous amount of leadership to this program," Regier said in a press release. "As a former captain, we are going to be looking to him to lead this team in the future. He is an extremely versatile player who can play all situations on the ice."
